Welcome To Band
Band is available as an elective to 3rd-5th grade students. Band is a class during the regular school day. Students in band will have band everyday and are expected to practice. We will begin playing on Friday, October 8, 2021. Students must have all materials by this date. You can find the materials list on the Band Page on the top tab.

Covid Update- Per District requirements all students MUST have an instrument mask and a bell cover to minimize aerosols. Class size will be capped this year so that students can be maximumly distanced. Students will learn how to form their embouchures (the placement of mouths on instruments) outside so that the teacher can ensure proper embouchure development. Students will NOT be allowed to share music, books, or materials; therefore it is imperative that each student has their own materials. There will not be any large indoor performances. Performances this year will be outdoor or virtual. Safety is our TOP priority.

Quarantine- If any students are placed in quarantine due to Covid-19 exposure, they can find their work posted on the Music Canvas Page.

Performance Shirts
All Band Students will be required to purchase a Band Shirt. These will be used for the performances. We make a one of a kind custom shirt for each showcase. We keep the cost as low as possible. These shirts will also be available to purchase for family and friends! This is a great keepsake!
